Inquiry: I got my first speeding ticket (first ticket in general) and they wrote on the ticket that I was a male, I’m a female and he added 2km to the speed I was doing. I didn’t see this until after I left. The speed I was doing was 72 in a 50 (he showed me the gun and said the number out loud) my mother was in the car with me so she can vouch for this. But on my ticket he wrote that I was doing 74 in a 50 and told me that they don’t do road side reductions anymore and that I had to take option 2 to get it reduced. Inquiry: I have a unpaid ticket that I was under the assumption was already paid but apparently i wrote the check wrong. I re sent the payment via mail today Friday February 1st 2013 and the due date was today will my licence still be suspended? seeing they wont get the cheq untill monday or tuesday? Response: It would be best to contact the Court directly by telephone to let them know that you are sending in your payment and that it will arrive shortly. Without that information, it is possible that the Court could update the MTO to have your licence suspended for non-payment of fine and the additional cost of reinstating your licence. Inquiry: I was convicted with running a red light via camera and the judge did not lower my fine so I am expected to pay $325.00 CAD in 90 days.
