Inquiry: I received a ticket last night for 98 in a posted 60, he reduced it down to 14 over…when i got home i looked over the ticket and the officer put my middle name which is john as my given name…my given name is Julian….what should i do?
Response: The name issue would not likely be a fatal error in the matter. However, if you would like, we could at a minimum review the Prosecutor’s evidence to see if there would be any grounds to have the charge thrown out. If there are no problems with the Prosecutor’s evidence and if the Officer is present on the trial date, we would possibly have to enter a plea to the 14 km/h over the speed limit charge to avoid it being amended back to the original 38 km/h rate of speed in the trial. If you would like us to review that evidence for you, we offer a no-cost initial consultation with clients via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
