Inquiry:  I was recently in an accident, the person infront of me had no working lights on his home made box trailer and i didnt notice he was stopping in time and hit him and then someone hit me. The person that hit me said in his report that he helped unhook the trailer and saw that the lights were not hooked up so will i be at fault anyways? Turns out my license was expired it was a g2 and i didnt go for g so it expired. The cop at the scene didnt get any of my info other then insurance and ownership which is all in husbands name (and turns out he never gave back the ownership) and told us to go to the reporting centre. Can i stil be charged with driving with an invalid license? What do i do to get the ownership back i dont even know who the cop was and we cant report our part of it until we have the ownership back.

Response:  The officer may still come back to issue a charge.  If you contact the police station, they should be able to track down the officer.  If you are issued a ticket, we offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
