Inquiry: i was convicted of driving while under suspension and i am currently having this under appeal as i was not at this court date i was not aware that my liscence was suspended again after just being reinstated. if this conviction is appealed when can i reinstate my liscence if I have no outstanding fines?
Response: If the court agrees to remove the conviction from your record pending the outcome of the appeal/trial, then you could likely apply to get your licence back within the next week or two. A MTO clerk will be able to advise you of the status of your licence. One thing to be aware of, if the Drive Under Suspension goes to a conviction at court a second time, the 6 month licence suspension will begin a new 6 month period with no credit for previous suspension.
