Inquiry: our daughter has unpaid fines totaling $7300.00 from a car accident and another incident before the accident of having no insurance and a expired plate in Ontario .she left and moved out west doing nothing about the fines . Since then they have been given to a collection company, she is still driving in another province what happens to her if she is pulled over by the police for any reason. Thanks.
Response: Being stopped for driving under a suspended licence carries very serious penalties. The best advice would be for her to check with her local licencing agency to verify if the the suspension has been placed against her current driver’s licence as well.
Sincerely,
