Inquiry:   My friend’s G1 license was suspended on September 1st because she failed to provide a sample when stopped by a ride program. She has retained a lawyer and the offense is going to trial sometime next year. Her lawyer told her that she can pick up he license at the MTO on December 1st and resume driving until it goes to court, is this right?

Response:  Your friend’s lawyer will be most aware of the details of her case and best able to advise.  When she goes to the MTO to reinstate her licence, she will be able to get a definitive response from the MTO regarding he eligibility.

Sincerely,
