Inquiry: Hi, I just got a traffic ticket this morning, it was for failure to have insurance card. I couldnt find it in the car. However, the main thing is, I was pulled over because the officer ran the plates and noticed that I wasnt old enough to be the owner of the car aka I looked to young. I wasnt doing anything wrong, wasnt swirving wasnt speeding or driving irratically. Would it be worth fighting, and ive been told because the reason she pulled me over is profiling, thus meaning it was an unjustified search. Could the charges be dropped on the grounds she didnt have the right to stop me?
Response: The Officer has the right to stop a vehicle and ensure compliance with the law. If you would like to contest the charge, we could certainly get a review of evidence in the matter to see if there might be some other grounds to have the charge withdrawn or dismissed. Ticket Defenders offers a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
