Inquiry:  i was given a ticket for failure to show insurance card. At the time i did have insurance just not my slip. what are my options.

Response:  The charge does not carry demerit points but does register as a conviction on your driver’s licence for insurance purposes.  If you would like to contest the charge, we could file the matter with the court and review disclosure for any grounds to have the charge thrown out.  Barring that, sometimes a Prosecutor will simply withdraw the charge if proof of the insurance is provided rather than spend the time and resources on running a trial.  If you would like to discuss proceeding in this matter, we offer a no cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
