Inquiry: Got a summons for driving under suspension but the name on ticket says brent, its not even close to waht my name is, and the reason for being stopped was ” i looked like someone he was looking for” mistaken identity?

Response:  A charge of Drive Under Suspension is a very serious charge carrying penalties of up to $6,250 in total fine, 6 months jail, and a mandatory further 6 months suspension of licence.  The Officer will likely have included your driver’s licence number on the summons and will have likely included using valid photo ID to identify you in his or her roadside notes.  The mispelling of your first name will almost certainly not be a defence to the charge.  You may however have other grounds for defence or at least be able to have the penalties reduced.  If you would like to persue your case further, we offer a no cost initial consultation for clients via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
