Inquiry: On July 2 2012 i was pulled over by police in the city of Niagara Falls Ontario. I was told by the officer that i was pulled over for driving too slow as we were lost and looking for our hotel. The officer asked for my licence,registration and insurance and after quite awhile returned asked me to step out of my vehicle and informed me that my licence had been suspended. I was not aware of this. I returned home to Stratford on July 4 and on July 5 i received a notice of suspension in the mail for an unpaid ticket. The suspension took affect on Friday June 29.My question is since i had no way of knowing my licence had been suspended do i have a defence?
