Inquiry: The Highway Traffic Act (Ontario) does not seem to define a penalty for not carrying your license under section 33. Where does this “$85 fine” come from?
Response: $85.00 is the set fine for FAIL TO SURRENDER LICENCE. In addition there is a $25 victim fine surcharge, for a total payable fine of $110.00.
