Inquiry: My husband got a ticket for crossing a solid white line when the lane was ending. He tried to pass sooner, but there was a big trash truck in the way. Anyways, when the officer wrote the ticket, he wrote that the car was a Dodge Charger rather than a Dodge Magnum and also wrote that the infraction occured one street later at an intersection where there is not solid white line, just normal dotted ones. Is the incorrect street or car make a fatal error in this case? If we try to fight the ticket based on that, and it doesn’t work, can we still fight it based on the trash truck being in the way?
