Inquiry:   Hi, I am inquiring about my boyfriend. He got pulled over for improper lane change in Burlington. He is 21 and he was driving home from work and had 2beers he blew a bac of 22. He had his truck taken away and he got a ticket and licence suspendion. Now on the notice ticket that the officer gave him it has the licence plate number, year, prov. and make question we have is the year in that section does it stand for the year we are in or the year of the truck because the officer put 12 in that spot and the truck is a 2000 can he fight it or shud he just pay the fine and let it all go?

Response:  The year on the notice is likely the year of the expiry of the validation for the vehicle.  However,  he may have other grounds upon which to contest the charge.  If he would like us to review the matter, we offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
