Inquiry:  I have been charged with driving under a suspended license but I was not in the car. A relative used my name and the officer didnt ask for no ID, they just wrote the ticket and allowed him to drive home. How can I go about this?

Response:  A charge of Drive Under Suspension carries very serious penalties including a total maximum fine of $6,250.00, up to six months jail, and a mandatory further 6 month suspension of licence.  We can certainly look at the identification issue to see if there is a grounds to have the charge withdrawn or dismissed.  If you would like to retain our assistance in contesting the charge, we can be contacted via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
