Inquiry:  I was given a ticket for using my phone while driving, but the officer didn’t pull me over. On the ticket, he checked that he had personally given me the ticket, even though he sent it through the mail a day later. Can I fight this?

Response:  Without seeing disclosure of the Officer’s notes, it is not possible to provide you much specific feedback.  The situation that you describe is definitely not typical and there are possible service and identification issues that could be looked at.  We will need more specific information from you such as whether the Officer has known you previously, whether your driver’s licence number is listed on the ticket, etc.  We offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
